51.CAJ112  J. Leiva Alma Cajon - Red Finish

[51CAJ112 Leiva Alma Red Cajon]Identical in construction & sound to the Alma Natural, Mezquita Red & Mezquita Natural Cajons, except for the front (tapa) face design, the Alma Red Cajon is a superb mid-priced/entry level cajon. 100% Russian birch produces a dynamic, punchy, yet flexible sound. Padded protective carrying bag included at no extra cost.

J. Leiva Alma cajons produce powerful, rounded, punchy bass tones & are the best sounding cajons made by any manufacturer in their price range.

The birch construction enhances crisp, sharp, cracking high tones. Slap strokes 'pop' beautifully on Alma cajons. The broad dynamic (tonal & volume) range does not sacrifice balance between the low & high tones at any playing intensity.

It is possible to produce high tones with little or no bass component & bass tones with no high tone or snare rattle.

Leiva Alma Cajons are sensitive across all playing intensities allowing the most delicate & subtle patterns to cut through, whilst a full-on 'bark' is produced at high intensity playing when needed.

The birch shell also allows a wide variety of effects, clicks, pops & snaps to be easily interspersed within your playing, again in great balance with the other tones; clearly standing out without dominating or getting lost.

Adjustment of the four snare wires is via two external DTS snare adjusters at the base of the rear face. Adjustment is quick & easy allowing you to customise the cajon to your own sound & individual needs during playing or recording. So you can change from a tighter, funkier sound, to a more gritty, rattly snare sound for ballads etc with a simple twist of the knobs.

Professional cajon at a non-professional price.

PLEASE NOTE: Mezquita Cajons & Alma Cajons are identical except for finish.
